Caribbean Cup, W Champions Cup highlights This Week in Concacaf

MIAMI — The 2024 Concacaf Caribbean Cup and 2024 Concacaf W Champions Cup resume, the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup concludes, and the 2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup continues as part of the action involving Concacaf clubs and countries this week.

Here is what is on tap across the world this week:

Concacaf Caribbean Cup

The 2024 Concacaf Caribbean Cup continues with two matches on Tuesday and single matches on Wednesday and Thursday. Jamaican side Cavalier will maintain a perfect start to continue atop Group A, Moca FC looks to stay at the top of Group B and six clubs seek their first win of the campaign.

The Caribbean Cup will determine three spots in the 2025 CCC when its semifinalists and third-place winner are defined later this year.

Concacaf W Champions Cup

The inaugural W Concacaf Champions Cup resumes this week with doubleheaders on Wednesday and Thursday. Frazsiers Whip will host Tigres UANL Femenil, and an all-NWSL bout will follow as San Diego Wave hosts Portland Thorns.

NJ/NY Gotham FC hosts CF Monterrey Femenil, while Club America Femenil will host Santa Fe on Thursday.

FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup

The United States is the lone Concacaf survivor at the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. The Stars and Stripes were staring at elimination against fellow three-time champion Germany but scored two stoppage time goals to force overtime. USA won 3-1 on penalties to advance to the semifinals.

The U.S. will face Korea DPR on Wednesday for a spot in the final on Sunday against the winner of Japan and the Netherlands. The two losing semifinalists will meet in the third-place match on Saturday.

FIFA Futsal World Cup

Costa Rica, Cuba, Guatemala and Panama aspire to become the first Concacaf nation to win the world title when the 2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup continues this week in Uzbekistan.

The action began on Saturday with the start of the group stage, which concludes on Sunday. The top two teams from each group and the four best third place teams will advance to the Round of 16.
