GRUP MEDIAPRO and IMG renew international media rights deal for top Concacaf tournaments

Miami, FL - Concacaf, the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football has renewed its agreement with the broadcast production group and media rights agency, GRUP MEDIAPRO, and IMG, a global leader in sports, events and media, to distribute the international media rights to Concacaf’s top football tournaments in 2023 and 2024.

Together, GRUP MEDIAPRO and IMG will manage the international media rights outside the Americas to the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup2024 Concacaf W Gold CupConcacaf Champions Cup, Concacaf Caribbean Cup and the newly created Concacaf Central American Cup. The companies will also work together with Concacaf to devise new strategies aimed at increasing the visibility of the competitions worldwide.

The renewal marks the second consecutive term in which GRUP MEDIAPRO, a leader in the production and distribution of live sports coverage, and IMG will be responsible for the media rights distribution of Concacaf’s top tournaments.
 
The confederation’s inaugural women’s national teams competition will take place in the US between February 17 and March 10, 2024, while the rebranded flagship annual men’s club competition, Concacaf Champions Cup, will formally replace the Concacaf Champions League from 2024 onwards. The newly expanded continental tournament will include 27 clubs and 51 matches including regional cup competitions that will help to further grow and elevate clubs and leagues in Concacaf.
