MIAMI, Florida – On Wednesday the draws for the Men’s and Women’s Olympic Football Tournaments for Paris 2024 took place in Paris, France, where the Concacaf teams learned their group stage fate.

In the Men’s Olympic Football Tournament, the United States and Dominican Republic will represent the Concacaf region by virtue of their respective performances in the 2022 Concacaf Men’s Under-20 Championship. The United States were champions, while the Dominican Republic finished as runners-up.

The U.S. are back in the Olympics for the first time since Beijing 2008 and have been drawn into Group A with France, New Zealand and the winner of the intercontinental play-off between AFC 4 and Guinea.

The Dominican Republic qualified for the Olympics for the first time in their history and have been drawn into Group C with AFC 2, Spain and Egypt.

The United States and Canada will participate on behalf of the Concacaf region in the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament.

The U.S., Bronze Medal winners at Tokyo 2020, qualified as champions of the 2022 Concacaf W Championship, while Canada punched their ticket thanks to their 4-1 aggregate victory over Jamaica in the Concacaf Olympic Play-Off.

Four-time Gold Medal winners U.S. were drawn into Group B along with Germany, Australia and either Zambia or Morocco.

Reigning Gold Medal winners Canada are in Group A. The Tokyo 2020 champions will take on France, Colombia and New Zealand.
