2024 Concacaf Girls’ U-15 Championship: All You Need to Know

MIAMI – The 2024 Concacaf Girls’ U-15 Championship kicks off on August 5th, bringing together the best youth programs to play in Costa Rica, Trinidad & Tobago, and Aruba.

This will be the fifth edition of the Concacaf Girls’ U-15 tournament. The United States is the defending champion of this competition in League A, and Nicaragua is the reining champion in League B.

What

The Concacaf Girl’s Under 15 Championship started in 2014 and has been celebrated every two years since.

The tournament is divided into three leagues according to the rankings of each national team:

  • League A: the eight highest-ranked national teams.
  • League B: the next 15 best-ranked national teams and one local club.
  • League C: ten national teams and one local club.

When

The 2024 Concacaf Girls’ U-15 Championship will be held from August 5th to the 11th, and this year's competition will feature a record 33 Concacaf Members Associations.

The three Leagues will share key dates for the tournament:

  • Group Stage and Playoff: August 5 to August 8
  • Semifinals: August 9
  • Final and Third Place match: August 11

Where

Each League will be played in a different host city:

  • League A in Alajuela, Costa Roca
  • League B in Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago
  • League C in Oranjestad, Aruba.

Champions

The current League A Champions, the United States, have won three times (2016, 2018, and 2022), lifting the trophy in 2022 after downing Canada 4-1 in the championship match.

Nicaragua is the current Champion of League B, getting this title in 2022 after a 3-1 win over Aruba in the Final game.
