ORLANDO, Florida – Defending champion Canada, Costa Rica, Mexico and the United States secured final-four places in the 2016 CONCACAF U-15 Girls’ Championship thanks to quarterfinal wins on a Wednesday that produced 38 goals at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex (recaps below).

United States 12, Bermuda 0
Payton Linnehan (9’, 19’, 29’) and Mia Fishel (22’, 33’, 36’) scored three goals each and the United States earned a 12-0 win over 10-player Bermuda. The Americans took an early 1-0 lead thanks to the first of two goals by Gabrielle Robinson (5’, 13’ pen). Madison Mercado (24’, 35’) completed her brace just before halftime to extend the advantage to 9-0. Kalyssa Van Zanten (44’) and Samantha Meza (46’) struck after the break, lifting the USA’s goal total to 42 in five games (0 goals conceded). Linnehan and Robinson, along with Mexico’s Alison Gonzalez, are the CU15G’s top scorers with seven goals.
Canada 10, Curacao 0
A four-goal performance by Jordyn Huitema (24’, 33’, 37’, 43’) powered Canada to a 10-0 victory over Curacao. The Canadians went ahead 1-0 in 18th minute through Jayde Riviere, who added another to make it 7-0 in the 45th minute. Maya Ladhani (21’), Julia Kostecki (61’), Olivia Scott (65’) and Teni Akindoju (69’) added goals in a winning effort.
Costa Rica 5, St. Lucia 0
Maria Paula Salas (2’, 37’) netted a brace – taking her tournament total to a team-high six – and 10-player Costa Rica topped St. Lucia, 5-0. Priscila Chinchilla (4’), Nicole Gomez (19’) and Carmen Marin also scored for the Ticas, who won for a second consecutive time after going winless in two straight.
Puerto Rico 1, Mexico 10
Mexico ended Puerto Rico’s four-game winning streak with a 10-1 victory as seven of its players get on the scoresheet. The Tricolor was powered by a trio of two-goal performances from Maria Mauleon (19’, 37’), Alejandra Diaz (42’, 50’) and Ashly Martinez (62’, 67’). It was 6-0 before Maria Luisa Colon (47’) responded for Puerto Rico with her team-best sixth CU15G goal. Dania Perez (16’), Ximena Rios (26’), Alison Gonzalez (28’) and Fatima Arellano (64’) also netted in a winning effort.
