REPUBLICA DOMINICANA – Guyana and Puerto Rico were among the winners on Monday in 2022 Concacaf Men’s Under-20 Championship Qualifying in the Dominican Republic, allowing them to stay in the hunt for a spot in next year’s tournament.

In Group C, Puerto Rico collected their first victory of CMU20Q in a 1-0 final over Barbados. A goal from Jan Mateo in the 10’ held up for the Boricuas until the final whistle.
Bermuda 3 Saint Vincent and the Grenadines 0
Also, in Group C, Bermuda made it two wins from two matches with a 3-0 triumph over Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. A scoreless first half gave way to a Bermuda break-out in the second stanza, with goals coming in the 48’, 74’ and 83’ from Jazir Warner, Sincere Hall and Stefan Jones.
Guyana 5 U.S. Virgin Islands 1
Guyana now have four points in Group D after their 5-1 victory against U.S. Virgin Islands. Omari Glasgow was the star of the day for the Golden Jaguars with a hat trick, scoring goals in the 34’, 41’ and 57’. Glasgow was joined on the scoresheet by Darron Niles and Ravi Coates, who scored their goals in the 45’ and 88’, respectively.
Nicaragua 2 Cayman Islands 1
The action on the day in Group D concluded with Nicaragua posting a 2-1 victory over Cayman Islands. Jareck Caceres handed the Pinoleros a 1-0 lead in the 50’, only for Shameer Hendricks-Seymour to pull the islanders level 1-1 in the 56’. But a winner would come for the Central Americans, as Manuel Gutierrez scored in the 71’ to deliver the three points to Nicaragua.
On Tuesday, the teams in Group A and Group B will be back in action.
In Group A, Sint Maarten square off with Dominica, while British Virgin Islands do battle with Grenada.
Meanwhile, in Group B, Saint Martin will meet Belize, while Anguilla will tangle with Saint Lucia.
