HARRISON, N.J. – NJ/NY Gotham FC tied 4-4 with Tigres UANL Femenil in Group A of the 2024/25 Concacaf W Champions Cup on Wednesday at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey.
Gotham FC scored first as McCall Zerboni struck in the 4’ from the edge of the penalty area.
Stephany Mayor equalized in the 6’ by pouncing inside the six-yard box after the ball bounced off the right post from an attempt by Jacqueline Ovalle.
Ana Dias gave Tigres the lead in the 15’ with a right-footed shot in the box to connect on a service across the penalty area from Ovalle.
Esther González scored the second goal for the hosts in the 21’ to place the match back on level terms.
Ana Dias collected her brace in the 25’ to regain the lead for the six-time Liga MX Femenil champions, scoring a right-footed strike from the right side of the box.
Delanie Sheehan tied things in the 41’ with a right-footed hit from close range.
Jaqueline Ovalle converted from the penalty spot in the 60’ to place the visitors back in the lead.
Maitane López scored from outside the box in the 71’ to equalize the game once more and rescue a point for Gotham FC.
Tigres Femenil finished at the top of the table of Group A with 10 points and a 3-1-0 record. Gotham FC punched its ticket to the W Champions Cup Finals, clinching second place in the group with eight points and a 2-2-0 record.
