MIAMI, Florida – Guadeloupe will be trying to get into the mix in Group B of League C of the Road to W Gold Cup when they host Cuba at the Stade Municipal Saint-Anne in Saint-Anne, Guadeloupe.

Guadeloupe fell in their lone match during the September window, a 5-1 defeat to Saint Lucia, but a chance to rebound in front of the home fans presents itself in a first-ever match with Cuba.

Jalna Lepante scored the lone goal for Guadeloupe in the last window and will be out to do it again on Friday. Tahina Theophile was also a dangerous player with two shots against Saint Lucia, while GK Anais Hatchi made six saves and four clearances.

Cuba’s only game during the September window was a memorable one, as they got a second half stoppage time goal from Maristania Mengana to defeat Saint Lucia 2-1.

Also finding the back of the net in that contest was Katheryn Rodriguez, but one player that Guadeloupe will need to keep tabs on is the dangerous Yeranis Lee, who had seven goals in 2022 Concacaf W Championship Qualifying.
