MIAMI, Florida – The group stage of the 2024 Concacaf W Gold Cup is done and dusted following an exciting slate of matches and bright performances from the region’s rising stars.

There were many young players who stood out over the course of the group stage, but the one who led the way was United States FW Jaedyn Shaw, who is Concacaf’s On the Rise player for the 2024 Concacaf W Gold Cup Group Stage.

The 19-year-old scored two goals in 114 minutes of action in the group stage, scoring her pair in a span of nine minutes during the first half of the 4-0 U.S. victory against Argentina to earn Player Of The Match honors.

Shaw scored her first goal of the night by receiving a quick free kick taken by Lindsey Horan and hammering a shot inside the near post.

Shaw’s second goal was a sensational swinging left-footed volley off a cross from the left wing by Rose Lavelle that went blazing into net to give the San Diego Wave player her brace.

Shaw finished the group stage having played in all three games for the U.S., registering three shots, 30 completed passes and one steal.

No doubt that Shaw’s career in Concacaf competition is only just getting started.
