MIAMI, Florida – The 2024 Concacaf W Gold Cup has already seen a number of breakout performances from young players, and at the top of the class is Jaedyn Shaw of the United States.
After earning on The Rise honors for her performance in the W Gold Cup Group Stage in which she scored two goals in 114 minutes, Shaw is once again receiving the On The Rise distinction for her display in the quarterfinals.
Shaw played a big role in the 3-0 victory for the United States over Colombia in the quarterfinals by scoring the third U.S. goal to become just one of two players to have scored a goal in each of their first three international caps for the U.S.
Shaw’s goal came in first half stoppage time as she received a pass from the right wing from Trinity Rodman and finished into net for the goal.
The 19-year-old attacker played 66 minutes in Sunday night’s triumph, scoring a goal from two shots, while completing 67 percent of her passes.
