Jamaica U-17 returns to training

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica under-17 national team head coach Andrew Edwards has called a 25-player squad to a camp that will feature five matches against parish sides from Thursday through Sunday.

The Reggae Boyz are preparing for the CONCACAF Under-17 Championship, which will be played April 21-May 7, 2017, in Panama.

“We had some stern tests against the United States and Canada recently,” said Edwards.  “With these games against the Parish teams I believe it will help our team develop agility as well as how sharp we are on and off the ball.  In Panama, we will be playing a match every three days, so we need to get in the mind set to play as much as possible.”

Jamaica is scheduled to face St.Thomas (January 5); St. Ann and St. Mary (both January 7); Trelawny and St. James (both January 8).
